Well done to St. Margaret’s signing club for their performance at the Key Stage 2 carol concert at Upton Vale Baptist Church this week. During the concert the children stepped forward to lead the songs confidently in BSL, alongside the singing choir.
Over the course of the Autumn around fifteen children have attended the school’s BSL club on a weekly basis at lunchtimes, led by Miss Lees and Ms Down. Signing club is popular with pupils at St. Margaret’s. It raises deaf awareness in the community and promotes the use of sign language within the school.
