Y5 Sponsored Swim for the RNLI 8.11.21

On Monday 8th November, Holly class took part in a sponsored swim to raise money for the RNLI after completing their topic on Coasts. We have been blown away by the generous donations that have been made. So far they have totalled a whopping  £663 - well done Holly class!
A special mention needs to go to Maya who raised an incredible £300! We are so proud of her! Here is what inspired her...

"At the weekend, I visited my grandpa, who also supports the RNLI in Starcross as he likes to sail a lot. It is really important when you live near the sea to support the lifeboats and lifeguards as they are all volunteers so they don't get paid to risk their lives to save people. I raised £300 for the lifeboats through my swim. When the RNLI volunteers in Starcross heard about my swim, they also gave me an extra gift to say thank you for my efforts. I was really proud as I did not expect to swim that far!"
