Year 5 Lift Off with the UK Space Agency 11.3.22

Y5 submitted their entries for the UK Space Agency Logo Lift Off competition. They had to find out about the work of the UK's spaceflight programme and how they are using satellites to help protect our planet from climate change. This was a great opportunity to link their learning about plastic pollution from the Autumn Term and a lovely way to round off their Spring Term space topic. The children were able to work individually or in teams and some chose to use their recently acquired vector drawing skills to create digital designs. The winning logo will be used on the rockets which are due to be launched into space from spaceports in the UK for the very first time later in 2022. Fingers crossed one of their amazing designs wins!
