Welcome back!


Welcome to the new school year! It’s lovely to see everyone back after their
holidays and great to welcome so many new families to the school. We hope you all had an enjoyable, sunny Summer holiday.

End of the Summer term!


We have had a busy summer term, including; school trips, sports day, the summer fair and the Year 6 production of Grease!

Year 2 Holiday!


On Wednesday 5th June, year 2 started their new topic 'From A to B' with an imaginary holiday around Europe. Look in our newsletter for more details and photos.

Year 4 Occombe Farm Trip


On Thursday 6th June, the year 4 children were 'evacuated' to Occombe Farm as part of their World War Two topic. See the newsletter for more details and photos!

Figures from history


To end their 'Time Tunnel' topic, year 5 children dressed as historical figures, from the different periods of time that they have been studying. There were Victorian chimney sweeps to Egyptian pharaohs! All the children looked fabulous in their costumes.

I’m in Lower Key Stage 2, Get Me Out of Here!


In the style of ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’, the children built team shelters in their classrooms and the library was transformed into the ‘Bush Tucker Trial’ clearing!

Christmas Fair


Fun was has by all, even Mr Shelling, at our Christmas Fair!


Author Visit


We were all inspired by a fantastic presentation assembly from children’s author, David Lawrence Jones. The children learned all about David’s experience as a reluctant reader at age nine, to successful, published author of the Bradley Baker trilogy.

Creative Arts Day


All of the children from Y1 to Y6 worked in mixed age groups to produce some creative crafts. Some of these crafts will be sold at the PTA fair in December.

Year 5 Boat Trip


On Tuesday 25th September, Year 5 went on a boat trip to start their topic about rivers. They travelled from Totnes to Dartmouth on a passenger ferry and saw may interesting things, including; naval officers, boat yards, a seal and a fox on the rocky bank.




We had a fantastic day on Monday celebrating our own Olympic Games!


Year 2 Fashion Show


To start their topic on Clothes Year 2 had a fashion show last week.
