How and why is our local area (St Marychurch) changing?

Following our fieldwork enquiry last week Rowan class worked in trios, using our Maths skills to find the total score for the environmental quality of each of the 20 streets we surveyed. We recorded our scores. Then we worked in trios to find the linear distance in metres of each street from the school using our Geography cartography skills. We measured from the middle of each street to school– following a straight line and using a map scale. We recorded this information. 

After this we presented this information on a scatter graph in order to find out if we were correct or incorrect with our hypothesis - The quality of the environment from Petit Tor to St Margarets school decreases as you go further away from Petitor and closer you get to our school.
