Y2, 5 and 6 Travel to Space 3.3.22

Simon from Space Odyssey brought his amazing Space Dome to St Margaret’s. Children in Years 2, 5 and 6 each spent time in the dome and Simon also did two Q&A sessions with Y5 and 6. The children loved learning more about space and found the experience really interesting and inspiring.

Year 5 are learning about space in science lessons and it was great to see the solar system in a different way - above our heads. At one point, an asteroid almost hit us! We saw the planets, the sun and the wider galaxy, including the constellations of the stars. We also learned more about the astronauts that have travelled into space and how they got there.
