Y3 Rowan Explore the Properties of Rocks 22.9.22

As part of our 'What on Earth is beneath our feet?' topic Rowan class investigated the appearance of natural rocks and went on to investigate the other properties rocks have. We talked about what the differences could be and then thought about how we could test them for permeability, hard and softness, erosion, density and crystals. We predicted what we thought would happen and then worked in groups to set up the tests, observe and then record our data. This helped us draw conclusions about the different natural rocks.
