Y2 Egg Cosy Sewing 16.5.23

In DT Year 2 are beginning their sewing unit of work.  Their project over the next 2 weeks is to design and make an egg cosy.  So far they have researched what egg cosies look like and their purpose and made a design of how they want their egg cosy to turn out.  It was important they thought about the colours of fabric they would need and how they would attach the detail.  The final task was learning how to create a running stitch using ribbon and punched paper so that they could use this to sew everything together.  Watch out for more pictures as they make and evaluate their egg cosy.
