St. Margaret's Academy is a primary school in Torquay which prides itself on offering a curriculum that develops the whole child. Children are taught to work alongside each other and develop their social skills; they learn how to develop resilience when encountering setbacks and they learn to think for themselves. We believe every child can achieve and we celebrate their effort and commitment to their learning.
We aim for all children to achieve academic success and to become confident and capable learners. We also believe children should be taught a range of artistic, musical and sporting skills in order to lead fulfilling lives, and these all feature in our curriculum and through extra-curricular clubs. Equally, we make great use of outdoor learning, using our fabulous school grounds and the local environment to ensure that children learn important lifelong skills.
I am delighted to be Head of this fantastic school and I feel very passionate about ensuring that every child has a positive experience of school, where their individuality is valued and their talents nurtured.
