St Margaret's Hosts Forest School for Deaf Children and Families in Torbay 27.9.22

This term the Torbay Teachers of Deaf Children have organised for a Forest School Club for deaf children to take place at St. Margaret's.  It is a club for children with hearing loss from different primary schools in Torbay to enable the children to meet other deaf children, build relationships and understand their own deaf identity.  Parents take part too so they can meet other parents of deaf children and share experiences.  The club has been facilitated by funding from the Dorothy Hird Trust, a charity that supports activities for deaf children.  We are grateful for the funding as the club could not take place without it.
