Y6 Competitive Volleyball Success 30.3.22

During the spring term Y6 children were focusing on volleyball in their PE lessons.  At the end of the unit the children played in an inter-school competition with Priory School, organised by the Sports Leaders from St Cuthbert Mayne.  The Y6 children loved the opportunity to compete against another school from the same area again after a long absence from competition due to covid.

We were able to take 30 children, split into 3 teams of 10. The children were organised into an A, B and C team.  All of the teams played each other and after playing 5 games each, the A team won, winning all of their games. The B team came 2^nd and the C team 4^th.  They had lots of fun developing their skills and experiencing competition.  Kally had a special mention for demonstrating fair play and encouraging others and received a medal.  All the children played very well and we were very proud of them.  Well done!
