Year 6 were considering how they will be using maths in their career ideas for the future. Miss Lynds also gave them the challenge to come up with a job that would need zero maths. Unsurprisingly, an element of Maths could be found in every possibility.
They also took the opportunity for some outdoor learning in Maths. Maple class investigated whether it was possible to find a stick that was exactly half the size of another (without trimming one down). They also tried to find angles in the orchard. They found lots of right angles!
