Student Council Beach Clean 25.4.23

On Tuesday 25th April, the school council organised a beach clean. This was to tie in with Earth Day a few days earlier and links directly with our British value of respect. Volunteering in the local community and representing our school are integral to the council and build upon our soup making for the homeless at Christmas time. We gathered over 2 kilos of rubbish in an hour and 90% of it was plastic waste which could have been washed into the sea. As a reward for their efforts (and walking up the hill from Oddicombe) they were rewarded with an ice cream on the way back!
