Slam Dunk for Y6 Basketballers 20.11.24

On Wednesday 20^th November, the Y6 Basketball squad went to St Cuthbert Mayne to compete in a Basketball competition against other schools in our local cluster.  We played against St Marychurch, Homelands and Priory.  The schools were able to take 30 children split into 4 teams and the teams were organised into an A, B, C and D pool.  All of the teams played each other in their pool and after playing 3 games each, the A, B and C teams achieved 1^st place in their pool, winning all their games – what an achievement!  The D team played very well and won a game and came 3^rd in their pool.  All the players had lots of fun and enjoyed the opportunity of using their Basketball skills in a competition.  Max had a special mention for playing with good sporting values and honesty and for showing excellent Basketball skills and received a medal for his efforts.  All the children played showing good sporting values and gave 100% effort and we are very proud of them.
