#DevonVirtualGames - November 2020 Results

During the first lockdown all the Torbay School Games events and competitions were cancelled and whilst schools were closed, being active was important as ever.  With this in mind, the School Games Organisers and Active Devon launched the #DevonVirtualGames!  The Games replaced the Summer School Games and all face –to-face competitions.  It gave all children in Devon the chance to stay active while at home and the opportunity to compete against themselves and others whist maintaining social distancing.  These events were shared and promoted to reach as many St Margaret’s children as possible and the first competition was – Conquer a Devon Route.  It was a walk, jog, run challenge and children took part over 4 weeks.  They recorded their completed miles and there were plenty of opportunity to win medals.  I am pleased to say that the School Games Organisers have informed the school that 5 children achieved a Gold award and medal.  Congratulations to these children and their excellent effort during lockdown.
