St Margaret’s Academy was built in the 1960s on the site of an old farm, called Shorts Farm. The only remaining part to the farm is our school orchard which retains the original name on the gate: Shorts Farm Orchard. Bernadette has spent hours lovingly restoring this sign to a beautiful condition. It’s possibly 100 years old and must have witnessed a lot of things in its time. Check out the picture.
