Y6 Quicksticks Tournament 18.11.21

On Thursday 18th November, three Y6 hockey teams played in a Quicksticks (mini-hockey) Tournament at St Cuthbert Mayne.  It was a really special occasion for them, given that it was the first face to face competition they have been able to take part in since the pandemic started 20 months ago!  COVID-19's effects on competitions are still being felt with two schools having to pull out of the competition.  We were still able to compete against Priory.  Both schools entered three teams in a round robin event where all the teams played each other.  St Margaret’s A team won, winning all of their games and conceding no goals!  St Margaret’s C team came 2nd and the B team came 3rd.  Everyone had great fun, they worked really hard and supported each other.  They also demonstrated fair play and sportsmanship.  There were special mentions for Vaughn, Ruby, Ethan and Darcy for their playing skills, motivating others and being focused and supportive.  Well done!
