Year 6 Explore the Universe with Charles Darwin 9.3.22

Last week, the children in Year 6 were able to go on an incredible scientific adventure as we had a visit from Simon and his incredible Space Odyssey dome.  We have recently been learning about evolution and inheritance in our Science lessons and we were able to explore this topic even further in the dome.

The experience started with us learning about atoms followed by an exploration of how the universe began and then developed to support life.  Finally, we joined Darwin on his journey to the Galapagos Islands, where he began forming his ideas on evolution.  The Year 6s loved the experience and, afterwards, enjoyed asking Simon a variety of questions during his presentation about human DNA.
