Year 1 Healthy Eating 14.6.21

As part of Healthy Eating Week Pine and Beech class worked in small groups to make a healthy and nutritious breakfast of awesome overnight oats” . They used measuring, chopping, slicing and assembling skills to create their own breakfast with oats, natural yoghurt and fresh fruit. They are looking forward to eating their yummy creations!
Year 1 also independently made their own healthy sandwiches this week. They selected their own fillings but tried to makes sure that they chose enough of variety to make it a healthy balanced sandwich. They could choose from cheese, soft cheese, cucumber, tomatoes and spinach.
